How do you get the prize if claw crane has too weak grip? Is it waste of time?

Hello to everyone.
I often see the claw crane which has too weak grip for years,
and we have to inch closer to hole the prize for getting it like following video.
I think it is waste of time and money, but I think I wish to challenge
the claw crane of high difficulty level.
But I'm not want to play the claw crane which has narrow range of motion
in the arm, it is playing not work.
